"A Mothers Dream"

"There is something inexpressibly sweet and sacred about the preparations that an expectant mother makes for a little one whose coming into this world is heralded with such loving anticipations. The dainty garments, fashioned with such care, the soft cradle, wherein the little one shall nestle, the room prepared for him or her- all are made ready with tender forethought. When all has been done that love can prompt, there is a soft, solemn hush of expectancy while one stands in the presence of these preparations for the coming little life. Who will disallow the love which has thus tenderly forestalled every need? The mother's love is born with this preparation for the little one."
~Anonymous

I find myself thinking a lot about our dear baby to come! Wondering if we'll have a boy or a girl! Wondering what our life will be like with this little one to come. Wondering if I'll be a good mommy. Wondering if this baby will look more like Richard or me. Wondering what our life will be like in about 5 years.
~Oh the joys of expectant motherhood!!!!! :-)

Since I've been pregnant I've found I dream about the baby or rather... babies! ;-) I dreamed one night in much detail that we had triplet boys! All were healthy and exactly 5lbs each! :-) So I keep telling Richard that we are going to have triplet boys this time and next time we'll have triplet girls! :D Heh heh

DRAW ME CLOSE TO YOU

I really love this song! It's one of my favorites! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Draw me close to You
Never let me go
I lay it all down again
To hear You say that I'm Your friend

You are my desire
No one else will do
'Cause nothing else could take Your place
To feel the warmth of Your embrace
Help me find the way
Bring me back to You

You're all I want
You're all I've ever needed
You're all I want
Help me know You are near

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after thee
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee

Chorus
You alone are my strength my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee

You're my friend and You are my brother,
Even though you are a king.
I love you more than any other,
So much more than anything.

I want You more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy Giver,
And the apple of my eye.

Having fun with my sisters!

My sisters are some of my dearest friends! And I always love it when they are able to come down and visit me during the week! :-) Last time they came down we went out and had crepes from a coffee shop for breakfast!
We all had such a lovely time! :-)

My Curtains

My kitchen curtains I made! Aren't they lovely?

This is the fabric I used!

These are the curtains I made for the hall way upstairs!

A closer look at the fabric!

Proverbs 31 Woman

I was doing a study on the Proverbs 31 woman and her traits. Here is just a small list of what I got out of my study:

-Virtuous: (Proverbs 31:10 "Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies." Others: Ruth 3:11 and Proverbs 12:4) Morally excellent. The quality of doing what is right and avoiding what is wrong.

-Gracious: (Proverbs 11:16 "A gracious woman retains honor...") Excellence of manners or social conduct. Characterized by charm, good taste, amd generosity of spirit. Good, kind.

-Wise: (Proverbs 31:26 "She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness." Others: 2 Samuel 20:22, Exodus 35:26, and Proverbs 14:1) Believers endowed with spiritual and practical wisdom. Prudent, sensible, practically wise.

-Prudent: (Proverbs 19:14 "Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord.") to have understanding. Discretion in practical affairs. Careful and sensible; marked by sound judgment.

-Good: (Proverbs 31:12 "She does him good and not evil All the days of her life." Others: Proverbs 18:22 and Proverbs 31:18) that which is pleaing or valuable or useul. Having desirable or positive qualities especially those suitable for a thing specified.

There are many more things that the Proverbs 31 woman is... kind, gentle, loving... and the list goes on. What a wonderful example the Lord has given us woman to work on becoming like! When you think of the Proverbs 31 woman... what are your thoughts?
When I think of her I think of hard working, kind, a wonderful wife and mother, loving, industrious... I could go on with that list as well. ;-)

But one of the things that sticks out to me the most is she is a servant. She serves her husband, her children, her maidservants, and the poor and needy (Proverbs 31:15 & Proverbs 31:20). Even Jesus didn't come here to be served but to serve (Matthew 20:28). There is so much we can do for others, if we just put self away and think of other's needs instead of our own (Matthew 20:26).

My husband and I are both excited about our baby that is due to come in September! We feel extremely blessed!
This picture was taken when I was 11 weeks along. Today we are now at 16 weeks along! When we where 14 along we got to hear the baby's heart beat! How beautiful and amazing it is to be able to hear our little one even before we meet him/her! We are excited that soon we get to see our little one through an ultra sound!

This picture was taken at about week 14! I have had an easy pregnancy so far! I haven't had any morning sickness, for which I'm very thankful. I have been feeling unusually tired all the time. But so long as I exercise I can usually wake myself up a bit. Other then that I've had pregnancy brain. And pregnancy brain is something I just enjoy laughing at myself! For I do or forget some of the funniest things! :-) For example the other day I walked to the mailbox to take out a letter. I grabbed my key, my dog, and my phone, but I forgot the letter. When I got to the mail box I stood there for a moment and realized I had to go back and get the letter! :-) Another funny one: One day I was doing the dishes. We have a garbage disposable in our sink so I was stuffing all the food down it. Then I stood there and I couldn't remember how to turn the garbage disposable on (usually they just have a switch like a light that you just turn on). So I stood there for awhile longer thinking 'how am I going to turn this on' all the while staring down into the sink as though I turned it on somewhere in the sink. Finally I remembered that I have to switch it on with a switch. So I started looking around for the switch and that is when it returned to me how to turn it on! :-) Anyway those are just some funny things that has happened to me so far while being pregnant! :-) Overall I LOVE being pregnant!! :-) It's just so wonderful to know that there is a little life within me that will soon be our little child running around playing! What a blessing little children are!
